About Me

I grew up in the Czech Republic when the country was still part of the Eastern Bloc, with closed borders. In 1989, the Velvet Revolution brought democracy and new opportunities for everyone. In the early 90s, while I was in gymnasium (high school), I had several opportunities to travel abroad, and I happily took advantage of them. My travels took me to several European countries, and I started dreaming about living in a different country, learning about that country and its culture, and exploring more of the world.

After finishing high school, I attended university, initially to study humanities, but then I switched to economics and HR Management. About the same time, I developed work experience in sales, real estate, and banking for international companies in Prague. After graduating, I learned that a close friend had died of leukemia. It hit me hard. We were 25 years young, and she was so full of life just a few months earlier.  Her death motivated me to change direction.  I decided not to wait anymore and to follow my dream to live in an English-speaking country, even if it meant leaving behind my new career in Prague.  By the following year, I was living in Reston, Virginia (USA), working as an au pair with an American family, and I was learning more and exploring while helping to care for children for a year.

Although I returned to Prague, I soon made my way back to the U.S.  Soon enough, I was presented with the opportunity to work as a marketing director for an architect/interior designer at his interior design studio based in Los Angeles, California. This turned out to be a wonderful work and travel experience, for which I was very grateful.

In 2006, I was planning to return to the Czech Republic, but those plans changed when I met my current husband.  We married in 2008, and one daughter, several dogs, and a cat later, I am still living in an English-speaking country, which was my initial dream!

After our daughter was born, we purchased a home in the beautiful countryside of northern Virginia. Thanks to my awesome and supportive husband, I was able to stay at home to raise our daughter before she started school. That was another dream fulfilled.

In 2017, I decided to obtain my real estate license in Virginia, with a goal of finding a new dream home for my family. It took me a couple years, but I found a dream home for my family in the mountains west of Washington, DC, near the Shenandoah Valley.  We all fell in love with the property, the spectacular views, and the wildlife.  During that time, I developed my real estate skills, and have helped many other families find their dream home as well.

In addition to my real estate work, shortly prior to COVID, I was presented with the opportunity to help with training federal law enforcement officers with a contractor for Homeland Security.  This opportunity turned out to be another great experience, and I am thankful to be part of something that truly makes a difference. It’s been almost 5 years now since this opportunity presented itself, and it has ignited my passion to help, teach, and motivate others, which led to my decision to start coaching and consulting. Since part of my family still lives in Europe, and I travel back and forth between the U.S. and Europe, the idea of coaching and consulting online was born, allowing me to work from nearly anywhere in the world, another dream fulfilled!

Sincerely Yours,

P.S. Follow your dreams, always!
